Who we are
Home Mapper Now is made by David Sablatura, 9201 Brodie Lane, Austin, TX 78748 (the developer, we, us). Write to that address or email support@homemappernow.com with any question about this policy or your information, or use Settings, then Send a bug report.
What we collect
Address lookups: the address you type, to find the building and its outline.
Install ID and name: a random ID the app makes for itself, and a name or company only if you type one in Settings. They are sent with each address lookup and bug report so we can tell testers apart and answer reports. Settings can make a new ID at any time (Make a new ID).
Bug reports: only when you press Send. What you typed, the app version, your phone model and iOS version, the screen you were on, a recent activity log (which can include addresses) and, if you switch it on, your last diagram.
What stays on your phone
Saved diagrams, folders, settings and a log of recent app activity, all in the app's own storage and removed when you delete the app.
Camera: AR capture uses the camera live to place corners; images are not saved or sent. Location: used only while the app is open, for the compass; it is not stored or sent.
Who receives it
Our server (hosted on Fly.io in the United States) receives the address, install ID and name. It does not save addresses. It keeps a log of requests with the install ID, name, kind of request and time.
Public map services (the U.S. Census Bureau, City of Austin and Texas Geographic Information Office) receive the address or coordinates from our server, not your name or install ID.
Bug reports are filed as issues in our private GitHub repository. App updates come through Expo's update service, which receives standard technical information such as the app version and IP address. If you install through TestFlight, Apple handles your tester information.
If you point the app at a server address you typed yourself (Settings, Advanced), your lookups go to that server.
Retention
Bug reports and server logs are kept for as long as we need them to fix problems and run the app.
Your choices
You can delete diagrams, delete the app, turn off camera or location in iOS Settings, clear your name, make a new install ID, or choose not to send bug reports. To ask what we hold about you or to have it deleted, write to the address under Who we are, or use Settings, then Send a bug report.
We do not sell personal information.
Children
The app is a professional tool and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the version date changes and the app asks you to review it.
